Job Description: Civil Engineer

State Infotech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our project execution and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in civil construction, site execution, and drawing coordination, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD as a core requirement.

This role is suited for professionals who can operate effectively in a fast-paced execution environment while maintaining engineering accuracy, quality standards, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and modify civil drawings using AutoCAD (plans, layouts, sections, BOQs)

Assist in site execution, supervision, and coordination with contractors and vendors

Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety norms

Conduct site measurements, inspections, and quality checks

Support material estimation, quantity take-offs, and basic project planning

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and internal project stakeholders

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain project documentation

Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skill:

AutoCAD (Civil) – strong working proficiency is essential

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of civil construction methods and materials

Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications

Basic understanding of estimation, BOQ preparation, and site measurements

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)

Professional & Behavioral Skills:

Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Effective communication and coordination skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or real-estate projects

Exposure to site execution and drawing coordination preferred
